- We own and operate Shell QGC - one of Australia’s largest LNG producers and suppliers to the domestic market.
- Prelude FLNG is at the heart of our offshore gas portfolio and the Crux Project is an important longer term backfill opportunity for this operation.
- We are a joint venture partner in Arrow Energy, and also have interests in the Gorgan Project and North West Shelf Project.
Joint ventures
Arrow Energy
We are a 50% joint venture partner in Arrow Energy, which is developing Coal Seam gas (CSG) reserves in the Surat Basin in Southern Queensland, and the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland.

Gorgon Project
Shell holds a 25% stake in the Gorgon joint venture, which is developing Australia's largest known undeveloped gas resource in the Carnarvon Basin 130 to 200km off the northwest coast of Western Australia.

North West Shelf (NWS) Project
Shell was a foundation participant in the NWS Project and now holds one-sixth direct interest in the NWS LNG project, and also serves as a technical advisor.
We also have an interest in the domestic gas joint venture which has been producing domestic gas for Western Australia since 1984.
