Update: Prelude
On 2 February 2020, Shell's Prelude FLNG facility experienced an electrical trip.
Production on Prelude has been suspended temporarily and work is underway to restore full operations on the facility.
Due to some technical issues, there was a delay in starting up the back-up diesel generators which impacted certain amenities on board. These issues are being resolved, and we have made the proactive decision to temporarily reduce the number of people on board.
Shell will not compromise on the safety of its people, which remains our utmost priority.
The situation is not linked to the review of isolation processes currently underway.
