UPDATED statement on fuel deliveries & availability
Oct. 08, 2013
Shell Australia continues to work closely with fuel transport providers, including Cootes, to manage deliveries and minimise the impact on customers.
The company is confident that customers will see normal fuel availability at Shell service stations in New South Wales and Western Australia.
Customers in Victoria, south east Queensland and Adelaide may see some temporary periods of fuel unavailability at a small number of Shell service stations until fresh deliveries are made.
Fuel deliveries continue to be made across the nation, and will progressively increase over the course of this week as Cootes Transport trucks are returned to service following inspections.
Shell continues to actively monitor stock levels and is prioritising deliveries of fuel to sites where it is most needed.
Safety remains Shell’s number one priority, and the company apologises to customers for any inconvenience caused.
