Update Victoria Diesel Supply
Dec. 12, 2012
Shell Australia has ramped up production of diesel at its Geelong Refinery and is currently making more than 125% of normal volume.
An import shipment also arrived on Monday and more ships are on the way, further increasing diesel supplies.
The company is prioritising trucking diesel deliveries to customers and is bringing in extra trucks and drivers from interstate. As of mid morning today, more than 60 Shell branded service stations across metro and country areas are pumping diesel.
The company acknowledges that it will take some time for the Shell branded service station network to return to normal while it continues its best efforts to resupply the network.
Shell apologises to customers for the disruption.
