Some of the approx 2700 litre overflow was contained onsite but fuel has entered the local stormwater drains.

Marine Safety Queensland have containment booms in place on the Brisbane River.

Shell will continue to work with Queensland emergency services as they deploy specialised equipment to ensure a prompt clean up.

It has been confirmed the incident occurred during a fuel delivery to the site, but the cause remains the subject of an investigation.

Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
