New electric vehicle options for fleets
Looking to electrify your vehicle fleet? Here are some of the top options on the market.

EV is gaining more traction in the B2C passenger car, What about the fleet space? The range is still limited in Australia for now in the commercial segments. While the choice is growing, we have found some options below.
Small van – Peugeot e-Partner
This Peugeot combines a 50kWh battery with a single electric motor that produces 100kW of power and 260Nm of torque. It backs this up with a claimed driving range of 258km under the Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP). The e-Partner can be charged from zero to 80 per cent in as little as 30 minutes using a 100kW DC fast charger. It's available in a single long-wheelbase variant boasting up to 3.9 cubic metres of load volume and a 753kg payload. From $59,990 plus on-road costs.
Other options: Renault, pioneer of the small EV van segment in Australia with its Kangoo Z.E., is set to return with the new-generation Kangoo E-Tech in early 2024.
Mid-size van – Mercedes-Benz eVito
This Mercedes-Benz matches a 60kWh battery to a single electric 85kW/360Nm motor and offers a claimed driving range of 262km on the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) test program – a slightly less strict regime than its WLTP equivalent. The eVito can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in just 35 minutes using an 80kW DC fast charger. It's available in a single short-wheelbase model offering a load volume of up to 6.0 cubic metres and a payload of 882kg. From $89,353 plus on-road costs.
Other options: Ford, already part of the large-van segment with its eTransit and will launch the mid-sized e-Transit Custom next year.

This big Ford packs a 68kWh battery and a single electric 198kW/430Nm motor that makes it the most powerful Transit of all. It has a claimed driving range of up to 307km of the WLTP cycle and can be charged from 15 to 80 per cent in about 34 minutes using a 115kW DC fast charger. The e-Transit is available in mid-roof or high-roof variants and has a load volume of up to 12.4 cubic metres and a payload of 1611kg (mid-roof) or 1566kg (high-roof). From $104,990 plus on-road costs.
Other options: LDV's eDeliver 9 was the first large EV van in the segment and is used by large corporates such as IKEA and Woolworths.
Ute – LDV eT60
Australia's only electric ute combines an 88.5kWh battery with a single electric 130kW/310Nm motor. It offers a claimed driving range of up to 330km (WLTP cycle) and can be charged from 20 to 80 per cent in about 45 minutes using an 80kW DC fast charger. The eT60 has the same-sized tub as ICE-powered T60s and a payload of 935kg. From $92,990 plus on-road costs.
Other options: RAM's new king-sized 1500 REV electric ute was recently unveiled in the US and is set to join the local RAM line-up, probably in 2025.
Small truck – Hyundai Mighty Electric
This small heavy-duty hauler combines a 114.5kWh battery with a single electric 120kW/320Nm motor. Hyundai claims it has achieved a driving range of 200km when loaded to its maximum gross vehicle mass (GVM) of 7300kg in real-world testing. The Mighty Electric can be charged from eight to 100 per cent in about 70 minutes using a 100kW DC fast charger and has a 4050kg payload. It's available in cab-chassis form – a tray is available as an accessory or you can fit your own body – from six Hyundai dealers across the country. From $150,000 plus on-road costs.
