Pitch Challenge Panel

Business Navigator was developed following extensive community feedback. Communities in the Western Downs said supporting local businesses and building a strong, diversified economy was important to them.

Business Navigator aspires to meet this need and enhance the capability of new and growing businesses in the region.

Business Navigator Tegan Flavell

  • Helping increase the number of new businesses starting up in the Western Downs
  • Driving an increase in revenue for participating businesses
  • Facilitating an increase in the number of local jobs from new and expanded businesses.

The program links local businesses with full-time coaches, or ‘navigators’, who assist them in turning their ideas into reality. The navigators provide one-on-one coaching to help turn ideas into a commercial product. Businesses also have networking opportunities and the chance to pitch their ideas at the program’s business innovation competition.

Business Navigator is supporting 45 businesses across 20 industries in their growth journey.

Turning ideas into a reality

When most people think of start ups they don’t think of the Surat Basin. That’s all changing thanks to the Business Navigator program.
