Shell helps share MSO magic

06/10/2008

Through its support of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) Outreach Programme, Shell Geelong Refinery is helping to unleash creativity and self-expression in Northern Geelong children.

Working directly with MSO musicians, primary and secondary school students are inspired to look at music in new and joyful ways.

The MSO will run full day workshops with five local Geelong schools between 6-10 October, and each day will culminate in a MSO concert for the whole school community.

Community Development Advisor, Jessica Marriner, said: “We are proud to support this enriching experience which is also available to the wider community through a series of concerts held at local neighbourhood houses later this month.”

Shell supports organisations in the areas of health and wellbeing, education and the environment, and works closely with these organisations to maximise the benefit for the Geelong community.
